RAYMONDVILLE - The Norfolk Post 925 Rovers dropped a 15-4 decision to the Malone Post 219 Pilots in an American Legion U18 Baseball matchup at Memorial Field on Wednesday.
Jacob St. Mary had five strikeouts and four walks while scattering three hits over the first four innings to earn the win. Alex Burnett came on to pitch three innings of scoreless relief where he fanned four, walked none and gave up one more hit.
Hadyn St. Hilaire (4IP, 2K) was saddled with the loss, leaving the game with the Rovers trailing 9-2. Josh LaShomb (2IP) and Isaiah Dillabough (1IP) worked the mound in relief.
Zach Burnett went 3-3 with a triple and four runs scored in the winning effort. Alex Burnett also had three hits.
Patrick Manning highlighted the offensive effort for the Rovers with two hits and two runs scored. Tristen St. Andrews connected for the other two hits while Kyler MacIntire had an RBI and run scored and Mike Burns came around to score the other Norfolk run.
The Rovers are slated to travel to Plattsburgh this evening to take on the Clinton County Mariners.
