With the Seaway Festival fast approaching, the City of Ogdensburg wants to inform residents that city-owned property along Ford Street cannot be reserved for the Annual Seaway Festival parade on July 26.
City property is not allowed to be reserved for any function. Residents will no longer be allowed to place chairs, fencing or vehicles along city-owned property prior to the day of any celebration. City staff will remove any such items from city-owned property up to 6 p.m. the evening before the Seaway Festival Parade. Property removed will be temporarily stored and disposed of if not claimed within 14 days of the parade date. This allows city staff to maintain (mow, remove debris, etc.) the property safely without obstructions.
Residents will be allowed to use the city-owned properties on a first come-first served basis on the morning of the parade. As always, the City appreciates your cooperation.
If you have any questions, you may contact the City’s Parks and Recreation Director Matt Curatolo at 393-1980.
