Elise M. Stefanik, Republican candidate for New York’s 21st Congressional District, is in Watertown today to tour the biomass plant operated on Fort Drum by ReEnergy Holdings LLC.

Ms. Stefanik is also scheduled to throw out the first pitch at the Watertown Rams baseball game this evening against the Adirondack Trail Blazers at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds off Coffeen Street.

Ms. Stefanik will be given a tour of the facility at 6 p.m. and will open tonight’s game at 7 p.m.

Ms. Stefanik defeated her primary opponent Matthew A. Doheny by more than 20 points in June. She will face Democrat Aaron G. Woolf and Green Party candidate Matthew J. Funiciello in the general election in November.
