Massena woman picked up on bench warrants

BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Trisha M. Harmer, 33, of 87 Water St., Massena, on three bench warrants at 10:08 a.m. Monday at a friend’s residence on Talcott Street. The warrants, signed on July 1 by Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson, alleged Harner had failed to appear in court as directed on three petit larceny counts. She had been charged with two counts of petit larceny on Feb. 5 after police responded to a shoplifting complaint at the Massena Walmart. She and a co-defendant reportedly left the store without paying for $27 worth of action figures. She was additionally charged with a second count that day alleging she had left the store without paying for $19 worth of men’s tee shirts on Feb. 15. She had also been charged with petit larceny on Feb. 18 after she allegedly walked out of Rite Aid without paying for a cell phone valued at $79.99. She was arraigned by Massena Acting Village Justice James M. Crandall and released after posting $150 bail.
