POTSDAM - Legislator Jason A. Clark is inviting residents, especially those from Hewittville and Sissonville, to attend a public hearing concerning the rehabilitation of the Hewittville Road bridge located in the town of Potsdam. The public hearing will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the town of Potsdam Community Room, 18 Elm St., Potsdam.
The St. Lawrence County Department of Highways has initiated a project to rehabilitate the Hewittville Road Bridge that crosses the Raquette River. The public is invited to learn about the proposed schedule, view schematics, provide comments on the project and receive answers to questions that they may have.
“This is a valuable opportunity for local residents to better understand the project and proposed time frame,” Mr. Clark said. “With some of the work coinciding with the beginning of the school year, it is very important that the public be as informed as possible. I hope to see as many people as possible attend the hearing.”
Residents with questions should contact Donald Chambers, St. Lawrence County Department of Highways, at 315-379-1542 or Mr. Clark at 617-312-8594.
