LOWVILLE — Village police charged Dean A. Leroy, 56, of 7577 S. State St., with criminal impersonation and second-degree harassment at 1 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Leroy is accused of providing a false name and date of birth to medical and law enforcement personnel during an incident Wednesday in which village patrols were called to assist Lewis County Search and Rescue on a medical call.
According to police, Mr. Leroy attempted to run out of the Lewis County General Hospital emergency room against the orders of hospital staff after he was admitted there. He was located in the parking lot of the hospital, where he subjected an officer to contact, police said.
He was issued appearance tickets for Village Court.
