MADRID — On August 30 and August 31 is the 24th Annual Old Fashioned Harvest Days Exhibition at the St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum’s farm, located at 1755 State Highway 345.
Displays will include harvesting and sawmilling demonstrations, antique farm implements and engines, machinery displays, original period buildings as well as replica buildings, including the horse drawn equipment building, farmhouse, granary, shoe repair shop, schoolhouse, gas station, and maple sugar house. There will be great food available all weekend, antique tractors, cars and trucks on display along with a flea market, free horse drawn and tractor wagon rides, farm animals, crafts, raffles, wood carver, and farm animals in barn. Saturday’s events include a miniature horse pull, draft horse pull, garden tractor pull, kids’ pedal tractor race, and spaghetti supper. Music will be provided Saturday evening by Pure Country, starting at 6:30 p.m., for listening and dancing. Sunday will feature the antique tractor pull, antique auto and truck display, BBQ chicken dinner, and kids’ pedal tractor pull. Special feature all weekend will be the Civil War Encampment.
